UniCredit , Europe’s fourth-largest bank, plans to cut 9,000 jobs — around 4.97 percent of its workforce — under its strategic plan for 2008 to 2010, it said in a statement on Thursday.þþUniCredit, Italy’s second-biggest bank in terms of retail branches, said it confirmed its earnings per share target of 0.52 to 0.56 euros for 2008 and aimed for a compound annual growth rate of of 10-12 percent under the plan.þþ
