Marshfield (WAOW) -- Employees at Masonite in Marshfield in local union 1733 are on strike.þþThere are 325-350 employees impacted.þþMasonite Architectural is a door manufacturing company in Marshfield.þþThe union and the company did not reach a contract agreement and the contract expired April 1.þþÿIt has to do with mandatory overtime our members feel they deserve time with their family,ÿ said Business Rep Local 1733 Luke Kramer.þþMasonite tells News 9 the reason for the strike is because of overtime. The company says the contract provided for additional wages, but it came down to overtime, which would be mandatory only if needed.þþMasonite says they are committed to getting people back to work and safety of employees is of utmost importance.
