(WCAX) - Unionized nurses at Vermont’s largest hospital say they are mulling over a possible strike.þþUnion representatives say they are not close to reaching a deal on a new contract with the University of Vermont Medical Center.þþTheir current contract, agreed to in 2022, expires in about three weeks on July 9. It included a 20% base wage increase.þþThey say pay, benefits and working conditions are the major sticking points now.þþUnion nurses voted to strike in 2018. It lasted two days and led to a 16% pay increase over three years.
