Reno area Plumbers and Pipefitters Local Union 350 membership has ratified a contract to end a strike that began on Thursday.þþThe contract signing was confirmed to 2 News Nevada by the Nevada Association of Mechanical Contractors on Tuesday.þþReno area Plumbers and Pipefitters Local Union 350 have voted to strike after the union rejected proposed wage agreements with Nevada Association of Mechanical Contractors.þþ“We’ve agreed to the wage-increase request they proposed during negotiations,” said Craig Madole, with the Nevada Association of Mechanical Contractors. “We’re concerned about the impacts to residential and commercial construction projects across northern Nevada and we’re ready to get back to the negotiating table so we can keep building Nevada’s future.”þþThe Nevada Association of Mechanical Contractors says it has been negotiating with the union for several months now. ÿTwice, the Nevada Association of Mechanical Contractors has agreed to wage settlements proposed by Local Union 350 negotiators. However, the most recent wage increases proposed and agreed upon by union negotiators have been voted down by union members on July 30 and July 31.ÿ þþIn response, the union has posted online: þþÿLocal 350 members have voted in favor of a strike over the contract with a 2/3’s vote. Please DO NOT go to work if you are under the Master Labor Agreement!!! If you are under the Service Agreement, please continue to go to work until further notice.
